Hoang Duc Dzung
Biography
Hoang Duc Dzung graduated from Vietnam University of Fine Arts in 1998 and later obtained a MA degree in 2009. Presently he is a lecturer at the National University of Art Education in Vietnam. From 2001 to 2008 he had 3 solo exhibitions in Vietnam and Hong Kong; and from 1997 to 2023 he participated in totally 24 group exhibitions held in Vietnam, UK, Italy, USA, Myanmar and Japan. His artworks have been collected by both private individuals and government/commercial organizations from Hong Kong, Indonesia, Myanmar, Arab Emirates, Japan, Australia, Italy, Germany, UK, France and USA.

Hoang Duc Dzung’s creation are mainly landscape and nude paintings. The painted objects are often placed in a dim space in mono-colour. The space in his paintings is often depicted in the early morning or evening. Everything in his paintings is usually placed in a state between real and virtual, seeing and unseen, standing still and moving…
People want to see things clearly and understand them better but Dzung doesn’t think it this way. He wants his viewers to read the pictures with their own emotions and experiences where his artworks become a living body to communicate with viewers and in such a way everything really reveals its true nature.

Dzung於1998年畢業於越南大學藝術系，隨後再於2009年取得碩士學位，目前他是越南國立大學藝術教育的講師。由2001至2008年他於越南及香港舉辦了3次個人展覽；而由1997至2023年他共獲邀參與了24場羣體展覽，展出國家包括越南、英國、意大利、美國、緬甸及日本。他的作品已被來自香港、印尼、緬甸、阿聯酋、日本、澳洲、意大利、德國、英國、法國及美國的私人、政府及商業機構收藏着。
作品描述
Dzung主要創作以風景及裸體為題材的作品。他將主體呈現於一個暗的單色調中，描繪着晨早或黄昏的時分。作品中每件東西通常都是處於真實與虛擬、看見與看不見、固定或移動之間的狀態......
人們都希望看清楚事情並明白它們，但Dung並不是這樣想的。他希望觀賞者以自己的情感及經驗去讀他的作品，將他的作品變成一個有生命的實體與觀看者溝通，這樣每件東西才能展現其真實本質。
